What to Expect
The Nervous System/Hormone Connection
Your nervous system carries communications from your brain to every part of your body, controlling everything. If there is interference in the part of your nervous system related to hormone regulation, fertility can be affected. Chiropractic adjustments remove these interferences, so your nervous system works properly. When communication from your brain works optimally, your hormone regulation can function correctly, improving fertility.
Care During Pregnancy
At Mojica Chiropractic Care, we like to see our pregnant practice members at least once a week throughout the pregnancy, and more often if the baby is breech.
Pregnancy chiropractic care is safe, gentle and specific to maintaining proper pelvic alignment to allow space for the baby to develop and move freely. By gently mobilizing the area using the Webster technique, we can relieve uterine tension and balance the joints, ligaments, and muscles around the womb for greater comfort for mom and adequate room for baby.
Dr. Liz is also here to help you through other aspects of your pregnancy, offering education on how to sit properly at work and sleeping posture, for example. She works with midwives and doulas, and considers herself a member of your team, helping and guiding in any way she can.
Postpartum Care
The trauma of childbirth is a stress on your body and nervous system. Chiropractic adjustments after delivery help get your body back into proper alignment and help rebalance your nervous system, allowing your body to recover better and faster, so you can focus on your new baby. Dr. Liz can help you with good posture for holding and feeding your baby, how to facilitate latching, and even the best way to carry the car seat.
